Architectural Excellence

Shir Hadash’s Center for Jewish Life was designed by one of Israel’s premier architectural firms – the same one responsible for some of Jerusalem’s most important buildings of the last decade, including the Menachem Begin Heritage Center, the new Hadassah Hospital and the luxury King David Crown.

The internationally acclaimed New York architect Robert A.M. Stern consulted on the project and provided the concept and inspiration on which the design was based.   Mr. Stern’s other works include a litany of some of America’s most famous libraries, courthouses, commercial centers, college campus additions, museums, luxury towers and an untold number of the world’s finest luxury private residences.

These two architectural teams represent the best of two different schools of architectural theory.  Together, they produced a rare synthesis, a building that is both ancient and modern – just as Shir Hadash’s vision is rooted in tradition yet forward looking – and grand yet personal.

This uncommon synthesis offers a major groundbreaking contribution to the Israeli architectural landscape.
