3) Have you seen …

If you missed our Chanuka concert, you may have also missed the ‘premier’ of Shir Hadash’s new promotional video.  If so, be sure to visit our website www.shirhadash.com where the video is now available for viewing at your pleasure.

4) … And would you like to see?

One of the new initiatives we hope to launch shortly is Cinema Shir Hadash, a project that utilizes film as a means to educate, inspire and create opportunities for social and communal building.  Thanks to a partnership with Go2Films, we will be able to purchase an extensive library of Israeli films – and the license to show them – for a significant discount.

To cover this cost, as well as the equipment necessary to show the films, we are now looking for a 10,000 NIS ($2,500) sponsor to name this library in honor or memory of someone.  If interested, please e-mail shirhadash613@gmail.com.  (Partial sponsorships are also available: Projector 3,500 NIS; Drama Division 1,000 NIS; Aliya Stories 1,000 NIS; Comedy 1,000 NIS; Holocaust 1,000 NIS; History 1,000 NIS) .

5) Volunteers Needed

Each week, Shir Hadash volunteers deliver food packages to needy families in the neighborhood in partnership with the organization Shachen Tov.  Additional volunteers – especially those with cars – are now needed to help supplement our rotation.  It only takes a couple of hours once a month, but it makes a word of difference.  Please consider helping out; to do so, e-mail our coordinator Malka Zeisel Harati at malkazeisel@hotmail.com
